What’s Happening This Weekend

All Weekend Long

🎭 It's your last chance to catch Sweeney Todd at Playhouse on the Square, closing Sunday after a month-long run.

🎌 Anime Blues Con takes over the Renasant Convention Center all weekend with cosplay, gaming, panels, vendors, and hundreds of hours of programming.

⚽ The World Cup knockout rounds are still on this weekend, and watch parties are happening at bars and breweries all over town.

🏝️ Slider Inn Downtown is hosting Love Island watch parties Friday and Sunday—and Sunday is finale night, so expect the patio to have opinions.

Friday, July 10

⛳ Memphis Adult Golf Night returns to The Links at Pine Hill from 6 to 9 pm with golf instruction, a live DJ, food, and drinks. Tickets from $45, 21+.

🕺 Summer Cypher at New Ballet Ensemble & School is a free night of Memphis jookin: a class with Dr. Rico at 6 pm, then an open freestyle session where everybody's invited into the circle. Ages 14 and up, zero experience required.

🏈 The Memphis Hound Dogs host the Arkansas Diamonds in indoor football at the Memphis Sports & Event Center, kickoff 7:05 pm. Tickets start around $12.

🌮 Mariachi night at Taqueria Las Carnitas. Enjoy a live mariachi band, great tacos, and it’s BYOB.

🤠 Learn to country swing dance at Whiskey Jill's with lessons starting at 7:30 pm. Come with two left feet, leave with at least one right one.

🔊 The 2000s Rave hits Growlers at 9 pm with tickets running $15–$22. 18+, and it goes late.

Saturday, July 11

🧪 Sci Play at Tom Lee Park brings free, hands-on science fun for all ages from 10 to 11:30 am—this round is all about why water conservation matters.

💦 Summer Splash turns the Overton Park Greensward into a waterslide park from 10 am to 2 pm. Free, wet, and exactly what July in Memphis calls for.

🚚 Food Truck Fair rolls into High Point Climbing Gym from 12 to 5 pm. Climb something, then immediately follow it up with a local lunch.

🎷 Free Family Day at the Stax Museum runs 1 to 4 pm with free admission to the whole museum, live jazz in Studio A, food trucks, games, and crafts on McLemore.

👕 The Valabasas Streetwear Market pops up at 61 Keel Ave, and the first 100 people in line get an exclusive tee.

🏃 The Ed Murphey Classic celebrates its 10th anniversary with a free, festival-style takeover of Beale Street from 3:30 to 8:30 pm. Olympic shot put champ Ryan Crouser is competing, elite pole vaulters will flying over beale street, and a 1-mile downtown race, with 70+ Olympians is happening too. (There's also a ticketed meet at the U of M Friday night.)

🎤 Hops and Hahas brings stand-up comedy to Meddlesome Brewing at 7 pm. Tickets are $22, beer is right there.

Sunday, July 12

🌱 Sunday Garden Club meets at the Memphis Botanic Garden from 1 to 3 pm. $15 gets you a laid-back afternoon of gardening fun.

🤼 901 Wrestling's WildCard Rumble takes over Minglewood Hall (doors at 4, bell at 5) with an 18-competitor rumble and title match. Family friendly, and tickets start at $9.01. Obviously.

🎺 Sunset Jazz at Court Square closes the weekend downtown at 6 pm. Free, outdoors, family friendly—bring a chair and let the horns do the rest.
