🍷 The Craft Food and Wine Festival Returns to the Brooks Sept. 6

The 2026 Craft Food and Wine Festival brings some of the city's best food makers and plenty of pours to the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art on Sunday, Sept. 6.

  • 🧀 Board meeting. Stroll the museum from 5 to 7 PM and graze your way through 35+ local vendors, with wine, craft cocktails and local spirits poured along the way. A DJ and live band keep the party going.

  • 🎟️ Sip smart. Tickets are $75 and the event is 21+. All your tastings are included. Want to skip the lines? VIP gets you in early, plus a private lounge with extra bites.

🎭 Theatre Thursday: Two Big Shows Open Next Weekend

Memphis theatre season is heating up, with Theatre Memphis and Hattiloo Theatre both raising the curtain on new seasons next week.

  • 🎺 Trouble in River City. The Music Man opens Theatre Memphis' 106th season on Friday, Aug. 14 and runs through Sept. 6. The classic musical follows fast-talking con man Harold Hill, who sells a small town on a boys' band he has no idea how to teach. Tickets run $15 to $62.

  • Keeping the faith. Speak, Salvation, Speak kicks off Hattiloo's milestone 20th season on Thursday, Aug. 13, also running through Sept. 6. The family drama about inherited faith was written by Hattiloo founder Ekundayo Bandele, and tickets are on sale now.

🏡 The Central Gardens Home Tour Turns 50 on Sept. 13

The Central Gardens Home & Garden Tour celebrates its 50th anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 13 with a walk through eight of Midtown's grandest homes.

  • 🗝️ Estate of mind. From 1 to 6 PM, step inside eight estate-sized homes along Belvedere, Central and Harbert. Many are rarely (if ever) open to the public, so this is a true peek behind the hedges.

  • 🎶 More than houses. Start at the Hospitality Center at Belvedere and Central, then enjoy live music from Memphis musicians and food trucks as you stroll under the canopy. Proceeds support the Central Gardens Association.

🎸 Country comes to Midtown. Stars & Guitars hits Minglewood Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Doors open at 5:30 PM, music starts at 7, and the show is all ages. Grab tickets here.

🍸 Almost Gussied Up. The countdown is on for the Edge District's newest hangout. Gussied Up, the nighttime bar from the Hard Times Deli crew at 655 Marshall Ave., is slated to open early this month. Think red neon, bar tops made from old bowling lanes, and a Sunday brunch.

🧘 Stretch goals. Free yoga at the Dixon Gallery & Gardens is tonight at 6 PM, same as every Thursday. The 45-minute class welcomes all levels and there's no sign-up. Just show up with a mat.

😴 The snooze heard 'round the world. FOX13 anchor Dominique Dillon briefly dozed off on Good Morning Memphis, and the clip went viral in the best way. Sound beating. The Memphis Redbirds crushed Nashville 13-2 Tuesday night at AutoZone Park, piling up eight runs in one inning to open a six-game homestand against the Sounds. Games run through Sunday. Grab tickets here.
