Let’s get into it.

Weekend Rewind

Fourth of July Weekend Rewind

If it felt like the entire Mid-South was outside this weekend, that's because it probably was.

Thousands of Memphians celebrated Independence Day with fireworks lighting up the sky from Downtown to Collierville.

Tom Lee Park once again delivered one of the region's biggest displays along the Mississippi River, while Liberty Park, Bartlett, Germantown, Lakeland's Freedom Fest, and Collierville all packed parks with families, food trucks, and live music before the grand finale.

If you spent the holiday grilling instead of chasing fireworks, we've rounded up some of the best videos and photo galleries from celebrations across the 901.

Feel-Good Moment of the Week

The Memphis Zoo posted a video this week that's racking up views fast: a Navy soldier returning home from a long deployment surprised his family while they were feeding an elephant at the Zoo.

As the family focused on the giant in front of them, their loved one quietly walked up from behind before an unforgettable reunion unfolded.

The Zoo is known for creating memorable experiences, but this one tops the charts. If you haven't watched the video yet, set aside a couple of minutes… you'll be glad you did.

Grind City Amp Keeps the Momentum Going

One of Memphis' newest entertainment venues is already proving it belongs on the city's concert calendar.

The Grind City Amphitheater officially opened earlier this spring along the riverfront in North Memphis and has quickly become a destination for outdoor live music.

After pulling strong crowds for its opening shows, the venue welcomes legendary alternative rock band Wilco on Tuesday night, July 7 (tomorrow) for an "Evening with Wilco" featuring two full sets and an intermission.

There are still tickets available and you can get yours by clicking here. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the show beginning at 7 p.m.
