Election Day

🗳️ It's Election Day! Shelby County Polls Are Open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

It's time, Memphis! Polls across Shelby County are open today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Our 901 Today Voter Guide has every race on the ballot. Turnout is already big: nearly 184,000 people voted early or absentee, about 52% more than in 2022.

  • 📍 Know before you go. You must vote at your assigned polling place. The early voting sites are closed. Find yours at shelbyvote.com. Bring a government photo ID, like a Tennessee driver license or passport. It's OK if it's expired, but college IDs don't count. In line by 7 p.m.? You still get to vote.

  • 📋 What's on the ballot. The big ones are governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House. Heads up: new district lines mean Shelby County is now split among Districts 5, 8 and 9. There are also three changes to the state constitution, three Memphis charter questions, and city races in Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown, Lakeland and Millington.

Questions today? Call the Election Commission at 901-222-1200. Results will post tonight at elections.tn.gov. Check out the full voter guide here.
